Whilst we understand that working parents need to be able to attend work, however, it is important to note that if your child is unwell, they will be better cared for in their own home by a parent particularly if the illness is likely to be contagious. It is our policy to obtain a record of all children’s immunization history and we appreciate your cooperation in this matter. Please advise the center in advance if your child will not be attending because of illness – with the details of the illness.

Common diseases that require exclusion from the Centre:

  1. Temperature of 101 F [38 c]
  2. Covid 19
  3. Chicken Pox
  4. Herpes - Shingles
  5. Measles Rubella
  6. German Measles
  7. Pertussis
  8. Whooping Cough
  9. Mumps
  10. Diarrhoea and/or persistent vomiting – children should remain at home for a minimum of 48 hours after either incident occurs, if the child has 3 bad nappies during the day whilst at Crèche, we will contact the parents to come and collect the child.
  11. Streptococcal Infection - sore throat, scarlet fever etc.
  12. Contagious skin condition – impetigo.

We respectfully request that parents/guardians working in farming environments and in direct contact with livestock and livestock feeds – coming to the facility directly from their work environment in work attire – please remain at main reception until your child/children are brought to you for collection.

Our Staff are aware of, and follow, recommendations set out in the following document: Guide to Infection Prevention & Control for Childcare Facilities.
