Policy and Procedure
Age category
We cater for children from 18 months to 15 years.
Application process.
- Parents will be required to complete an application form to place their child on our waiting list.
- A member of the management team will contact the parent to confirm receipt of application form.
- All details regarding a child’s application form must be completed and all relevant important information provided.
- We will endeavor to cater for specific needs, dietary or otherwise if these are brought to our attention when you register your child.
- Children with additional needs and disabilities are welcome. An up to date assessment form must be attached to the child’s application form. Childcare places are limited in line with adequate staffing and facilities to provide for each child’s needs. Parents need to be aware that it may be required for them to give consent to make an AIM application if educators feel its in the best interest of the child.
- All parents will be provided with the opportunity to discuss any queries at the time of registration or on our annual open day.
- We reserve the right to review and change how places are allocated.
Allocation of Places:
- Siblings requiring a full-time place are given priority.
- Local families with both parents working, requiring a full time space will then be considered.
- Part time places for siblings will be considered next as long as there is another family with alternating needs to fill the full time space.
- All other children will then be considered if places become available.
Registration
- Once you have been allocated a place for your child a non refundable deposit of €100 must be paid before the place can be confirmed.
- A start date will be allocated once deposits have been paid.
- Once your child's place has been confirmed an enrollment information pack will be given to you with registration forms and information on company policies. Completed registration forms as well as an agreement to adhere to company policies must be returned ahead of your child joining the service.
- We offer a settling in week free of charge ahead of your child's official start date. This week is used to transition the child into the room and establish trust between the child and the early years educators. The child will come for extended sessions throughout the week to become familiar with staff, peers, the environment and daily routine.
- Once the child has settled into the service, the parents will be given a clear avenue of communication that can be used to communicate with the service as the child progresses throughout their journey with us.
